About Diane Miller

Diane is an active musician, writer, concertgoer and show promoter based in Fargo-Moorhead. She serves as the director of The Aquarium and the lead vocalist of D Mills & The Thrills. She has lived in the area since the age of 12. She graduated from Fargo South High and Minnesota State University Moorhead.

Diane started from the bottom up. First as a shy no-name singer-songwriter performing at open mics and small parties. She got her start as a music writer in high school as an online blogger. Diane went to make a name for herself in the community around 2009 when she started playing in groups Haley & The Rydells, Heavy is the Head, Diane Miller & The The Silver Daggers. In 2011, she became editor of the High Plains Reader, Fargo's alternative newsweekly. Around the same time she started to gain small amounts of traction with her hip-hop band D Mills & The Thrills.

Today, Diane is one of the most well-known names in the Fargo-Moorhead community. She's been featured on the cover of Fargo Monthly and The Variety section of the Forum of Fargo-Moorhead. She's been a guest host of sold out concerts at The Fargo Theatre. She's been an entertainment contributor for popular radio station KFGO. She's contributed stories to the Minneapolis City Pages. Her band has been featured on MPR, NPR Music, Prairie Public and other big media.
